Apologies for the delays in updates to the website and lack of content being created. I have been beyond busy with life, both work and personal. I will be allocating some more time to playing Pokemon again, as it is one of my favorite ways to relax. I am currently working on some content for the site to share my thoughts on how the last three sets have changed the meta for Silver Series, and some sample lists as well so stay tuned! Welcome to the Silver Series Format
Enjoy the Pokémon Trading Card Game in an innovative, budget-friendly way!
Construct a deck using Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Promo cards from Scarlet & Violet (SV1) and onwards.
Rule Box and ACE Spec cards are not permitted, which is what makes this a budget format!
Excluding Rule Box and ACE SPEC cards gives a wide range of unique attacks and abilities to be explored and utilized that might not be strong enough to use in the Standard Format. And that’s it, all other rules to play the game are the same, 60 card deck, 6 Prize Cards, max of 4 copies of a card aside from Basic Energy.
Should cards ever become too overpowered or toxic, a ban list will be started, and can be viewed here.
This inexpensive way to play the game can be enjoyed by veteran players or those just learning how to shuffle. There is a wide card pool of “competitive cards” to create those intense, skillful, interactions to outplay your opponents. Every set that releases will only continue to greatly widen the card pool and evolve the meta, preventing it from getting stale.
If you’re new to the game or deck building you can just add a few cards to your “Prerelease Deck” from your Build & Battle Kit! I believe this can be enjoyed by players of all backgrounds and even be a stepping stone into playing the Standard Format!
